Clik here to view.In the last five years, the amount of surveillance has expanded and it has steadily increased at a rate of 15 percent per year since 2007. According to mobile service carriers, in 2011, 1.3 million cell phone requests were made by law enforcement of users’ digital data and 2,732 wiretapping requests were also made across the US. The growing trend has resulted in a decline in warrants for wiretapping. So what does this mean for Americans? Alan Butler with the Appellate Advocacy Counsel for EPIC, joins us with his take on the growing practice.
